Hi I have a 215l tank and a 30l sump (240l) all together I'm looking for the right pump and haven't any idea how small or big I have to go so if anyone has an idea it would be great

Thank you

What size overflow do you have....that will determine the maximum size pump you can use. And the second consideration...external pump or submersible. And lastly, head loss....how high does the pump have to pump and what diameter pipe...elbows, etc.

If I were setting up a tank today, I'd be looking at DC pumps. Jabeo has a couple out at reasonable cost....and they are adjustable. I still actually kicking around the possibility of switching out the MAG I'm currently running.

I'm still looking for an overflow box suitable for my tank, I was hoping if I find the pump I want then it help me narrow down what to get for an overflow box, I plan on having the pump submersible and the water has only got to travel 2foot up to the tank so wasn't sure what I would need thanks

I'd recommend a Glass-Holes overflow kit if the tank is drillable. Their kit comes with everything, including the drill bit to drill the glass. For a 215L (ca 57 gallons), I'd recommend the 700 gph kit.
