I'm sure there is a pin somewhere that discusses this... I'm sorry that I'm too lazy to find it :)

Is a 40 Breeder big enough for a 135 gallon reef tank?
If I can't fit that under the stand... would other sizes work?

That's a fairly normal size sump for a 135. I currently only have a 25 gallon sump on a 150 gallon which has been working fine for me for a year. however I am upgrading to a 125 gallon basement sump for ease of work ability, and lots of room for extra equipment. I say go as big as you can while leaving a little room in your stand for dry stuff like food, dosing containers...etc.

I'd be careful of tall tanks like a 55 gallon as they would be a pain to work on under a tank, and may simply not be able to get to your in-sump equipment like protein skimmer to service.

Thank you!
