i currently at using a filtered sea water mix. The cost is really high and want to go to mixing my own salt. I have now installed a proper rodi filter . My question is when I do water changes I usually do about 25 percent . If I am changing saltmix should I slow it down a bit , minimize the change ?
Going from a seawater to instant ocean reef crystal .
Thank you in advance

It's probably best to do more frequent 10% water changes for the next few go arounds. This will reduce some of the stress. Try to carefully match the pH, salinity and temperature. This is for a tank with inverts.
If this is a fish only system, go ahead with the 25% changes. The fish can handle it.
