i have had a bit of an issue with cyano lately and im thinking it may be my bulbs. 4 bulbs 2 actinic plus 2 aquablue plus all giesseman.
2 are 9 months old and 2 are 4 months old only problem is i have one aqua blue and one actinic that is 5 months old and the same with the 9 month bulbs. and i cant tell which are which.is 9 months the life span or is my problem somewhere else maybe.

I was getting cyano on 8-9 month old geissmans. I just switched to ATI. And sucked cyano. All clear now

More then likely it's a mix of problems. Like stated above what is your flow like and where are you phosphates? I would replace any bulb after 9 months. If it were me I would also change all the bulbs at the same time to avoid any confusion

flow should be fine i can kick the sand up if i want. im unsure of phosphates i dont have a ckecker but i tumble gfo and change it regularly. i think i will start changing out bulbs this week.

I would change just the two old ones first. Then in a couple months the other two. Not all at the same time. So coral can adjust to the new lights.

I use a sharpie to write the month/year on my T5's when I buy them so I know which ones need to be changed out.

i have the same problem using LEDs . my po4 is almost undetectable using hanna meter and nitrates are .02. i havent got a clue and im just living with it. someone told me zeo coral snow and zeo bak will do the trick and after 2 months of doing so it didnt do squat. what local are you with im local 361 here in NY
