T5/LED Lighting Schedule

I have a Aquatic Life Hybrid T5 fixture with 4 AI Primes. I have the AI Primes following the BRS AB+ schedule. On at 8am followed by a 1hr ramp up and ramp down for 1hr at 5pm turning off at 6pm. What should the T5 lighting schedule be? On when fully ramped up at 9am and off at 5pm when the ramp down starts? Or 8am and 6pm when the LEDs turn on and off?

I only have a few months of experience with the hybrid but have one set in for 4 hours (coral white) and the other on for 6 hours (blue). My radions are AB+ schedule. The T5 splits the time in the middle of the radion schedule (so they come on a bit after led are fully ramped and off a little before the start ramping down). I have the 61” version so I can’t dim the T5s.

I have been wondering this as well. so you are running the T5s for a total of 6 hours during the day, how long are the Radions running from start up to shut down?

I ask because my current light schedule on my 29g (Prime HD) is on at 8:00am ramping up to 9:00 and then a second ramp to full power at 11:30am. Then ramp down at 2:00pm, second ramp down at 5:00pm and shut down at midnight (Saxby schedule but slightly modified..... Js Reef schedule from YouTube).

I just don't know how I should be running them on the new 75g. all coral will be transferring over from the 29g. should I be on the AB+ with the T5s? T5s will only have Blue+ bulbs (4 of them)

I ran my t5's on when fully ramped up. Did a 10 hour schedule with 1 hour ramp up and one hour ramp down. So t5's were on for 8 hours.

Yes I was, Hydra 26 HD's running the BRS AB+ schedule

I've always just manually entered them in. but the levels you have posted in your first post look right.

We run our T5's 6 hours per day after the LED's have ramped up for the most part. My SPS love it as well.

Looks like they have you covered. I run mine similar to Crabs.

Totally up to you. Personally i've never seen the need to have that long of a ramp. But if it's something you want to try, it cant hurt
