Taking DOWN calcium reactor : USELESS

i am taking down my calcium reactor, it's useless, my calcium is always high "ALWAYS" what's the point having reactor i spend $1200 come to find out it's NOT worth it.

i sow the future and it showed me worthless unless to have a calcium reactor to begin with. the water mixture now days has alk and calcium. why people dos " tire of dosing, get a calcium reactor" my alk and cal is high

i am using Neptune Systems Apex, i was thinking to buy the trident, useless i guess also

Yes, maybe you’ll find that your alk, ca and mg are all stable too, and then the trident would be worthless.

You dont need to dose if the corals are not taking up and alk and calcium. CaRX are great, but only if you know what you are doing and actually need it

i been dosing kalkwasser for my ph alk is out a control, last time i tested 3 days ago it was 15 so i stop dosing the kalkwasser ph went down to 7.5

Its all in how its dialed in, the amount of effluent and your bubble count. Takes lots of fine tuning,,,, but does the job

How old is it?
Can you post a full tank shot so we can see what you have in terms of coral?

OP Is also dosing kalk, so two sources of alk and ca.

Yeah, saw that. At this point, just trying to establish a baseline of information about the tank before attempting to proceed further with any potential advice.

From reading the OP's comment above, I think the amount of Kalk he doses might already exceed his alk and calcium requirements.
