I'm wondering what people think of keeping a mimic eibli tang with a convict tang? I love the way they look together but I always want to make sure they will be happy.:smile:

What concerns me is that it's said that the convict tang is very passive and is easily harrassed by other tangs and while the eibli is not super aggressive it is more aggressive than the convict.

the lines on both are fairly similar, that would be the only concern i would have.... coloration is very different though.

i was told alot of times the tangs with the same fin shape are not compatable

This is what is confusing to me, you read that they are not compatible, however, reefers tanks will have several of the same type. I imagine if you have a larger system (135G) that it would be alright.

well im running with an Achilles, purple and hippo with no problem in my 180

I have a 100g and my rockwork is arranged on a egg crate shelf, so there is a large swimming space back there, and all the space in front of the rocks.

i have been thinking about another tang, we have a blue hippo, want something differnt, maybe a purple, yellow, sailfin, convict, kole, or powder blue or brown.

What would anyone suggest be a good tank mate for my blue hippo
