okay im upgrading to a 120 48x24x25 and am wanting to get some opinions on what i should use for flow and where they should be located in the tank.

i have a mag12 main pump that i will be using as the return. and i also have 2 hydor 3's for flow.

how many additional hydors would you buy and how would you place them all in the tank?

I'm not really familiar with the hydors - haven't used them. 2 Tunze 6055's worked well in a 120.

It also depends on the corals you plan to keep.

Hydor= Korallia

I just upgraded from two korallia 3's in a 75 to two of the magnum 5's. They use the same amount of electricity as the 3's but put out twice the flow. I know they just put these magnums on the market, but I am 100% sold already on them. They give you as much flow as a tunze for half the cost... It's a no-brainer in my book.

well i really was wanting to stay with all the same and since i already have the two korallias i was just going to stay with them for now.
i just bought the tank today, and will start building the stand tomorrow. so with all that money plus i need a new skimmer. i didnt want to go to something completely different for the flow. just keep the 3's i have plus add what i need additionally.

oh the 120 also has a left side corner overflow. and i have a mixed tank....
