OK so I have a LG sump kinda like a square, rubbermaid alot of guys use.
anyway about 42"x24"x34", so I want to move my zoas out of the main tank as the sps are spreading well and they are not going to be as happy in the light I am going to.

so here is the ?

I want to put them on some eggcreat but my water level goes up and down a bit in that sump.
SO
will it be bad on the zoas with differant light intensety?

and

Is there a way I can make that sump stay level?

I was thinking about droping a 40 breeder in there and the drain from the tank above would fill that tank and then over flow out the tank into the sump.

With that flow would a seio 1200 be enough flow for that tank and the Zs and Ps?

and gonna light it with 4 T-5 3 blue 1 white?

A baffle with the return pump on the side opposite the frags will hold the fluctuation to that side of the baffle (as coralnutz mentions). If you do that, just make sure you stil have enough empty sump volume to hold the drainage water when the power goes out (not an issue if you are running overkill, but it is if you're already near borderline). Find the volume of empty space (inches cubed) and divide by 231in cubed to convert to ~gallons. HTH.

You could get another tank/rubbermaid and put it online as a fuge and drain the sump into it and then have the return go back up from the fuge, the water would flucuate in the fuge then and you could open up your sump for frags.

and ATO of kind would help that out. there are 100's of differnt ATO you can get. here is a list of a few. its all about how much you want to spend?
i have an older version of the aquahub DIY ato and it works great.

bbzd why dont you just use that 70 g tank you have sitting under your main tank for the z and p that would be a great tank for growing them out especialy since your main tank only has about 6 inch of water in it

I would be careful about tying several tanks together. If you have a problem with one, it can cause problems with another. Weetabix7 has had problems with that & had to separate the tanks.

If they are plumbed properly it is no problem. Many many many people run multiple tank systems.

aquarius what biblesue is talking about is that if you were to get a disease like ick in one of your tanks it would quickly spread to all your tanks not just the one

however in my opinion brent quarentiens everything so I dont think this would be much of a problem
