temperature fluctuation questions

For the last two days I have been experiencing large temperature fluctuations. Anywhere from 79 (which is my target temp) all the way down to 73. I had a pump problem yesterday and thought fixing it would help to solve the to solve the problem since it was barely moving any water. My temp stayed pretty steady at 78 all day but now it is down to 75. It usually only varies by 1.5 degrees or so this is not normal. I am running 2 Eheim Jager 300 watt in my sump/refugium. Just can't figure out what is going on. Any ideas ?

How old are the heaters? Have you tested the heaters outside of the setup to see if they are functioning properly able to hold at a steady temp? Also it the temp from the display or sump, don't know if this will make a difference but I would check to see if they are both the same. To me it sounds like maybe one of the heaters may not be functioning properly.

Also did you clear the pump problem up? Pump could have been in a bind and had been overheating the water itself. Now that it is fixed it may be running cooler.

Also yes I would keep an eye on those heaters!
