Hey guys, I am wanting to get a thread going here on what the ultimate tank setup would be. Tank size/style, lighting, filtration, sump, pumps, sand/no sand, etc. Lets try and see if we can get a tank setup that all would love to have and lets not just place the most expensive items up here; unless they're perfect!
So let's see if we can get the perfect show tank!:dribble:

Dimensions 48 or 60 long x 30 wide x 24 high

My new tank - Perfect for me :)

This is simple 72l 36w and 24h. i dont even know how many gallons that would be

I actually prefer smaller tanks, like a 75 gallon. The dimensions are really good to me, and at 4 feet long they're still pretty easy to fit in a room.

That is true but for in wall set-ups I think they have to be a bit longer....Although I don't have an in wall set-up....

12' long, 36-48" front-to-back, 24"-30" high in the front and 8" high in the back with a sloped bottom (so all the crap and sand falls to the front, and so the overall volume & weight is about 25% less). Hybrid construction: starphire front and sides, plate glass euro-bracing + midsection cross brace, PVC sheet bottom and back.

Lighting: Skylights, 4 of the 4' long by 14" wide clear glass ones end on end with reflective aluminum shafts that taper down from the ceiling to above the tank. Supplimented with my water cooled Cree XP-G LED fixtures and 5' T5's running on icecap660's.

Flow: Tunze 6205 x 6

Skimmer: ATB XL @ 4000lph

I think it will depend how long the wall is
I have a 75 gal in wall ill post pics later

'In Wall' is a relative term too. You can have them where only one side is visible, like a port or window... but you can also build the wall around the base and top to have 2, 3, or maybe all sides showing, and its still considered 'in wall'. The only qualification is that it has a wall that extends above the tank to the ceiling, and from the bottom of the tank to the floor really. This leaves things rather open. I think a 3-sided 'in-wall' that is rather square is pretty cool, or even a peninsula.
