This is what they call Red Graclaria Feeding algae from Liveaquaria. I planned to put it in the refugium but upon receiving it seems like it could fall apart easily. Most of it is in 3-4 inch clumps. Is it a good idea? Flow is a little higher than medium.

I am thinking about placing it in a plastic cage...........

Chaeto is sort of the standard for refugium algae but I have seen this in a refugium at an LFS in South Florida and it looked like it was growing pretty well. I don't know how effective it was or how often they needed to trim it, but I think if you already have it then give it a go and see how it does.
