The release of autoBalance and aBex is very close. We hadn’t given many details about the equipment since we knew competition was stalking us.
The pH sensor we use for our autoBalance unit is manufactured in Germany by the prestigious firm WTW, which has a path of more than 70 years in the manufacture of high quality laboratory equipment. It is undoubtedly one of the best probe manufacturer worldwide. We have tried pH probes from many manufacturers, and this one is definitely the best one. We are sure that it is one of the most important parts of the device to provide the precision and reliability we need in our hobby, so we have designed electronics according to the quality of the probe, and we have achieved an almost immediate probe calibration, getting to stabilize the pH value in calibration with a precision of 0.01 in a matter of 10 seconds. Besides that, the response time of the pH probe together with the electronics is so low that it allows us to perform a fast and accurate measurement.
In the aBex unit we also have a WTW reference electrode to which we attach the electrochemical sensors of the spanish firm NT Sensors which have a patent based on carbon nanotubes. All the electronics, which have been developed by our R&D department with the collaboration of sensors manufacturer, have been equipped with extremely advanced measurement components to obtain accurate readings without interference, reaching resolutions of 0.01mV, which gives the device an excellent accuracy and reliability. We have also developed exclusive calibration solutions for this unit, thanks to which we have managed to adapt the measurement technology through selective ion sensors to our aquariums and minimize repetitiveness and precision ranges. Abex has a leading technology that we are confident will change the way we do tests in our hobby.
