This starfish bad?

I would not add them. They can get to plague like numbers with no predator in the tank. It's just extra biomass that doesn't do much for you. In addition, some of them will eat zoas. I've removed some from zoas and found a small hole in the zoa. The zoa almost always soon after dies. Some say the zoa was already dying... could be. But, the thing made a lil hole in it. That's not cool any way you cut it.

thanks guys and gals. A lot of great info here!

He (or she) has since departed this mortal plain.

Cool lookin little guy tho! After I had a velvet outbreak and have had the tank fallow of fish, I've been extremely hesitant of adding anything that would pose a risk to anything; coral, fish or otherwise =).
