My ato pumped an extra few gallons into my sump, I have kalk in my resivor but it only pushed my alk from 8.0 to 8.3, I haven't checked ny calcium and my salinity is normally 1.025, everything looks fine. I'm thinking instead of pulling water out and adding salt that I'll just let it be and let the excess water evaporate. Thoughts?

Hello,
if your salinity didn’t change much and taking into account the delta of only 0.3 in alkalinity... I would also follow what you suggested: just wait for the water to evaporate. Maybe, just be sure, I would conduct the tests again soon to be sure.
Good lucky!

yeah not sure if kalk mixture slow clogged hole in airbreak on fill line just happy it shut off where it did, it could have gone for 14 gallons and really caused some damage.

I had this happen. I fixed it permanently with a Multi-Timer, $25 bucks, from Amazon.
I plug my ATO into it. The program turns power on for the ATO to do its work, but for no longer than 1 minute every 2 hours. You can program whatever intervals you want. So if all fails, 1 minute of water max between fills for me.
