I had a velvet outbreak in my tank. All remaining fish have been in QT with cupramine since July 31st. A week or so ago one of my firefish started looking rough and I lost him a few days later. The remaining firefish now stopped eating the last two days. He looks healthy but I wonder if the copper is causing an issue with the firefish. I’m not quite to 30 days but should I add some carbon to remove the copper now to help the firefish? The other fish in QT are a pair of clowns, flame hawk and royal Gramma.

I have a 20 long but it is not set up. I’m at 28 days of therapeutic copper.

Day 28 should be sufficient. Was it at 1.5PPM or more for a day or two before? (IE what’s your definition of therapeutic).

If nothing has been added in 28 days you’re probably golden either way.
