Who would have ever thought these titanium heaters would ever go bad. I found this in my sump today. I also noticed a small fracture on the heater

I always liked glass heaters. Treat them right and they seem to last forever. It used to seem like I was throwing away "unbreakable" Titanium heaters by the basketful when I worked at the store...

I'll take a Marineland Visitherm (new name now, which I forget) with a lifetime warranty any day.

My 75 watt Via-therm is going strong at 10 years now.

...and when it dies at ?? years old, they'll send you a new one. Who can argue with that?? :)

(I've got a 75 watt that might even be more like 25 years old.)

So long as I don't accidentally crack it on a rock :) The only thing after 10 years is the suction cups are due for replacement.

Mine is the older style but new. Only used it for about a month these were bought a long time ago that I never used(stocked up). Regardless it's life span was 1 month . My apex saved me again with this heater. I noticed temp drop so I looked into the heater
