Many people have issues with this kit. I'm not sure why.

What salinity are you using? The numbers they quote are for low salinity. At 35 ppt it could be what you report based on their values:
Specific Gravity: 1.021-1.023
pH: 8.2 to 8.3
Calcium: 390 to 410 ppm
Magnesium: 1,110 to 1.250 ppm

SG: 1.025
PH: 8-8.3
CAL: 450
ALK: 8.4
MAG:1440?
TEMP: 78-79F
NO3: 10ppm
PO4: .25-.03
Running TLF NPX biopellets & dosing 6ml 2part daily on dose pump.

I need to ask around to see if a friend has a salifert or different Mg test kit.

The magnesium is much higher than they quote at the specific gravity you are at, so there may not be any issue. [emoji3]

Many people intentionally target levels in the 1400's.

The main thing folks seem to see first from elevated magnesium (say, around 1800+ ppm) is lethargic snails.

I've not actually seen clear evidence of coral issues at the levels of magnesium that folks sometimes attain.
