You can’t? Fish stores grow corals. Something that literally costs nothing to do. Then frags and sells them. That’s one heck of a profit margin ;)

Fish stores have operation costs like employees, electricity, rent... Those eat into profit margins quick.

2 month supply in stock now at BRS

That is still a triple digit profit margin. My lfs sold $40k in Indo corals for $160k over a week. Small store. Only 4 employees, 2 work at a time. He always doubles his money :)

No you cannot LOL. If you sell something and have absolutely no associated cost then I suppose you could claim a 100% profit margin ..... but there are always costs.

I call bull **** on that number if they had 500
People spending $300 each that is only $150,000
So there is no way a small store can sell 160k in corals in a week. Where do you live? You would need 500 people locally with a reef tank and they would also have to spend $300 each. Lol

wish somebody with the chemistry chops @Randy Holmes-Farley would crack the code and allow for a diy recipe. i know some folks brewing their own for alkatronic.

I think there is a simpler way I would say there is less than a 1% chance that those reagents were formulated specifically for the Trident. If this was a Hanna product we know they have huge chemistry labs for R&D. In this case NS most likely just bought a product that has already been on the market for years and used by several other companies for testing water. Someone just needs to track down who is supplying them with the reagents and after that you could probably buy them in gallon jugs from another company that uses the same product.

Yeah,
They seemed to have cracked the code for the Alkatronic's reagent, but I'm getting well over one year on the $110, jug size reagent.

The Trident came in cheap for hardware, but it's reagent is the money make for Neptune.

One Casino tank order of livestock could easily net an LFS $160K in sales.

Why would a casino order corals from a LFS.
They would go direct. Why would they order from a fish store ?? That doesn’t make any sense. Bye

Go direct? Who is it that setup the tank and maintaines it? A wholesaler?

No a big company like atm. With a proven track record. Not some small mom and pop fish store. If you read what he posted the corals where sold in the LFS in a week. Not by one client. Your comment makes less sense.

It’s a small store with a huge reputation. Only lfs in south Florida sponsored by Neptune systems and ecotech. It’s also one of the oldest stores in south Florida. There’s always people in the store. I’ve watched a handful of guys walk into the store with their wives and pick out whatever they wanted without hesitation or considering the price. They have a lot of pieces with price tags over $3k. Lol it’s very believable
