Tunze 6040 Help

Hi all, got two of these with a used tank and neither seem to be working. Im trying to keep them on constant. Top knob at 50% bottom two are off and the light in the top knob just flickers and turns on and off when it wants. Any ideas or they toast?

Remove the impeller and rinse it off, the 6040 are susceptible to being jammed from small particles.

Would that cause the light on the controller to act sporadically?

The same as before unfortunately, just weird they both do the same thing
