I just got the Tunze 3152 I ordered for my Cube, and wanted to check here to make sure I'm understanding this thing correctly before I set it up. I *think* I see how this thing is supposed to work, but there are conflicting and just-plain-mistranslated (again, I *think) statements in the manual.
It looks to me like the sensor is supposed to be installed with the wire sticking straight up out of the top, so that most of the time the water level keeps the float above the bottom of its travel. When evaporation reduces water level to the point that the float bottoms out at the end of its little "stick," this trips the sensor and activates the pump. Is this correct? The manual at one place states that the sensor should be mounted horizontally, which doesn't make sense. Another page states that lifting the float should trip the sensor, which doesn't make any sense either as the water would normally hold the float above the bottom of its travel anyway.
