Where do you guys keep yours?
I have mine on the sand in a 65 gal under 6X39 watt T5 and it's just not coloring up. The BGM looks great and they are side by side.

Thanks,

Dave

Do you have a picture you can share?
Mine is in med. flow and med. light at the moment. Started with one eye in Nov. now about to have 4! WOOT!

I will get a pic posted later. I put it low because thats where my miami hurricane and other chalices seem to like it the best. med. flow and low light

this is the BGM. I got it at the same time. It is starting to color up nicely.

BTW the pics were taken with flash too thats why they look a little washed out. But the colors are right in the pics.

Mine is under medium light and flow.

Here is an actinic pic before I cut it up. :(

I say higher lighting than you have it now! The BGM will color up much nicer in higher lighting along with the Tyree Red, but don't overdue it, try to acclimate them kind of slowly.

Chris do you have a larger picture? lol

Thanks guys! I think I am going to start moving it up a few inches at a time until i get it to about the middle of the tank.

Do most WM's do better in higher lighting?

I agree wih the above posts. More light. My RWM likes MUCH more light than any type of ME...

This is my one eye baby. Started it in the shadows and slowly moved it out. Still sitting on the bottom of the tank. About 24" away from a 4 bulb T5. Sounds like I need to start inching it up as well

Yes I did some research about mine as well when I had it at 90 par. Higher light is the answer. I moved it up to 130 par and its doing better and brighter. I had people tell me that it would do very well under 300 par but my tank doesn't go that high, lol.

Good luck!

Thanks Mr. Sexy C  Coloring up and starting to grow! Dave has yours been putting out feeing tenticals? Been feeding mine now and again. It's been putting out feeders about an hour after lights out. Good luck and hope yours starts coloring up!!

Mine does put out feeder tentacles and I feed it about twice a week. I really think it will do better in higher light. I also got mine from sexy corals so I know it will look great when it gets the right light. I started with 2 eyes about a month ago and it is starting to form another one already. So it is growing I just have to move it and get it to color up.
