Unique Acro

dang, Nice Update. :0

Thanks bud

Still drooling at this thing!

me too! :)

Rich quit it with the photoshop man! Come on jeeze, thats so fake  can't wait to see the tank in person. I keep going back to your nano sps and I'm just in awe looking at it. Keep up the great work.

I agree, looks photoshopped and fake :) I's starting to see the red polyps on the frags now.
My old SPS nano was starved. I wish I added more fish to it back then, colors would have been so much better.

Here is a video I took of the tank today for reference. White balance came a little blue. PE and growth has been very good overall.

slow down when you take your videos.! so you can focus and we can take a really good look at the purrrrrtyy SPS and everything else.!

I was trying to keep the video short :)

It is pretty ridiculous. :p

I check out this thread every time there's a new post hoping for updates.

This acro is growing quickly for me. I have begun spreading it into other systems. By fall/early winter, I am hoping to spread a few frags to the west coast.

Good name for the thread. A picture of that belongs in a calendar.
Thanks!

Yes please :)
:)

I bet a number of people have the same acro but not all have the correct lighting/system to get the same colors to come out of it.

How about sending one to Nj? ;) I'd love a piece

In due time. There are like 40 people in front of you so it will be while.

Found this guy , i see some hope there :)

Looks interesting. Congrats! I like the fingernail color choice as well :)

More importantly, nutrient balance. I had this same lighting on my last tank and did not get this color out of the coral. But yes, I agree lighting definitely plays a huge roll. Can't go wrong with tried and true 400w radium + t5 supplements.

Jaskson,
so am not the only one who noticed the fingernail colors lol

Now , did urs look the same when u first got ?

Can you put down ur water parameters i agree with u water plays a strong role.

Check out the first page of this thread, you can see it's progression.

My current parameters is Nitrate 10-15ppm, Po4 is 0.0 on hanna low range meter.
Cal 430, alk 9dkh, mg 1250. The key is that I have 22 fish (115g tank) and maintain these levels easily. Lots of nutrients in, but still acceptable levels.

It's been a while since I updated. This coral is growing and color is maintaining. I am ahead of where I thought I would be at this point. I have 5 frags out to local SPS tanks (friends tanks). Color is maintaing in other systems. I'm going to start growing frags at different heights through my reef to see how it responds.

Here is an example of one of the frags and an updated colony shot. Pics taken with an iPhone 5 through a top down. No color enhancing!
