Unique Acro

In names I think point of origin is always nice. Like Oregon Tort. Maybe stick a Long Island or NYC in the name whatever you decide on. Is it just me or does it look kind of like A. horrida a little bit? Kind of like a milli had a baby with a horrida ;)

Long Island Vineyard Acro? :xd: (purple and green of grapes) I would definitely need one than.

I appreciate all the interest guys. Unfortunately it only grows so fast and I am doing my best to spread it around. This coral is in some of the best tanks in my area. If I don't get frags to those interested, I'm sure some will be floating around sooner or later :)

This looks more like a tenuis to me than anything. Actually I bought it as a "blue tenuis" from another hobbyists tank. I like the idea of a local name, I really have to name but I actually despise giving corals cheesy names lol. It does make tracking lineage easier though.

Nice but that doesn't exactly roll of the tongue :)

It looks amazing. I dont know if anyone already asked but what kind of light and what size tank.

115g custom cube. The best lighting money can buy (and it's cheap these days). 400w radium, t5 and blue led supplement. I have a tank thread in the cube tank forum if you want too see more detail. Thank you for the good words.

Looks like Acropora Tenius to me

Hey rich even though I'm still waiting for mine I think you should name it LI ULTIMATE ACROPORA TENIUS because its truly beautifull.

Beautiful corals. Nice photos as well

thanks. Most of these pics are taken with an phone 5 in a top down box

That is just a gorgeous tank all around. I'm just getting into SPS and hope to have my tank looking like yours eventually.

thanks. look closely at the details in my tank thread. The nutrient balance is everything, as is tried and true equipment.

me too :)

Great piece.. It looks like Rit's AA Cranberry Plana

Never heard of that one.

Rich, I love seeing a true grow out success on this level. That's what the hobby is all about!!! How gorgeous and impressive. When you are ready to spread that acro love to the West Coast I'd love to be on the list of lucky recipients to get a frag. Thank you for documenting and your continued updates :D.

Thank you. I am more interested in spreading this coral, and being able to look at this thread years from now. That is a level of lineage that I haven't seen yet. I would like to see more threads like this out there instead of wild colony chop shop threads to make a quick buck.

that peach tho!

Thanks.

I think I said it before but put me in line! Let me spread it around Tampa! Lol
