Just chip the rock man.. if the rock was purple with coralline algae I’d understand but it’s a green rock that will probably introduce it to your tank! Not worth it! Frag that paly into a new plug and call it a day! lolBut I should definitely get rid of this one today, right?
I think I’m going to try the super glue method first. It seems the easiest and most effective.
You make a good point... might just try to chip that section off.Just chip the rock man.. if the rock was purple with coralline algae I’d understand but it’s a green rock that will probably introduce it to your tank! Not worth it! Frag that paly into a new plug and call it a day! lol
Not going to chip it, as I did find coralline algae. ;HilariousYou make a good point... might just try to chip that section off.
What would work best? A chisel/hammer?
I just want to one more time warn you that if you think you are gunna use glue to cover that huge aptasia and you think there is no more microscopic aptasia on that rock you are setting yourself up in the future for reoccurring aptasia to pop up. Take the rock out scrub the hell out of it and scrap much as you can off and rinse clean in tank water in separate bowl. Not going to chip it, as I did find coralline algae. ;Hilarious
Exactly! It’s in that rock ready to multiply! Rock is cheap save the future hassle.. but let OP handle as he wish.. no point to give advice if the other person don’t wish to. Lol, he will learn the hard way.: can’t say no one warned him lmaoo go ahead and do as you wish mate and good luck with that! I’m out Adios!I just want to one more time warn you that if you think you are gunna use glue to cover that huge aptasia and you think there is no more microscopic aptasia on that rock you are setting yourself up in the future for reoccurring aptasia to pop up. I Wouldn’t say.. he thinks his way is best.. but he is giving you solid advice and I would take his advice or mine! Just because you don’t see it - don’t mean it’s not there! I got live rock that I examined many months ago and I’m still finding new stuff!!! Everyone on here got good heart and taking time to help you out.. we don’t get payed for this! lol so take it lightly some of us are really passionate and could come across a bit at times rude including myself. If you going to come on here asking for advice then take the advice if not why even post? Give it some thought.. I believe he is good dude trying to help you out so go easy on him.. ya know! Also text could come across wrong some times, but if he was not trying to help you out he wouldn’t be here right now answering your questions and advising! Cheers and keep on reef.. we all reef different but somethings just don’t need to be reinvented if it works! CiaoHUGE huh? Wow, ok, it’s like 1 cm across. You are the KING of exaggeration.
I poured superglue over it and it immediately shriveled up and turned white. I absolutely murdered it - it’s not coming back. I also checked the rock for more before adding it to the tank.
Your way isn’t always the best.
I’m just trying to help. I was just saying I’d still scrub it a little. But I’ll stay out of it sorry .HUGE huh? Wow, ok, it’s like 1 cm across. You are the KING of exaggeration.
