Hello all,
I am upgrading my 20 gallon long and I was going to upgrade the lighting or the flow. I am on a tight budget, so I can only afford to do one right now.
I am staying at the same size - 20 gallons - just going to rimless w/ sump, so don't add that into the equation.
I was either going to get a kessil a160we or an ecotech mp10.
What should I do first? I currently have a 400gph hydor pump, and for lighting I have a Galaxhydro (Chinese black box) lights, which are ok but I HATE how it has to be roof mounted, so I am strongly leaning towards getting the kessil, and also because it looks better. May consider buying used if anyone has one for sale, the Kessil a160 or even 360. Also looking for used MP10's.
Thanks,
Mitch

My personal preference would for sure be lighting... I always suggest getting lights new. That way you know they will work and can get a warranty on them. Pumps you can go used since they are marginally cheaper than the lights. Both the light and current flow are sufficient, so i think it really would come down to personal preference.. As long as the coral is happy you're all good :)
