Okay,
6 days ago I purchased a Naso tang, a stripe banded butterfly fish as well a pebble butterfly fish. I did not personally quarantine these fish as I am very involved with my LFS operator and personally know these guys were quarantined for 3 weeks as in all his fish do before entering there system, I trust these guys with my fish period. By day 3 the pebble butterfly had a very erratic swimming pattern but seemed to be in full control of these patterns. Being I’ve never owned one of these guys I assumed this was normal behavior of this fish as his visual appearance was completely sound.. coat.. colors fins eating habits. At this time the Naso tang and stripe banded were completely fine other then the Naso tang being a little finicky with his eating as he didn’t enjoy the green seaweed (but would still pick at it)as I know they do prefer brown. He appeared to be picking off the flake food and algae on LR to be getting along. I was gone for one night on business. when I returned around 6pm last night for normal feeding. My pebble butterfly had cuts all over him as well as his fins terribly nipped. The stripe bandeds tail fin was nearly gone and the Naso tangs left fin looked nipped as well. It appeared as they were in a serious fight with the pebble being at the worse end. A couple hours later the pebble died. The rest of the night the stripe banded wasn’t his normal self and kind of just sit stagnant in the tank which is highly opposite of his usual darting ways along the 180g .The Naso tang with further observation looked a little thin but back to his eating habit I tied these two together. This morning when I woke the butterfly fish was dead. No lesions just faded color as he prob died hours before I woke. The Naso tang was alive but on the sand bed Blackend in color and breathing heavy... his future is clear he’ll be gone shortly to. After doing some research into the lesions on the fish I have come across Uronema marinium. The markings in the images are very cohesive with how my fish appeared with the lesions and behavior. I understand this is a parasite that lives in the water and hosts weak immune fish. Is it possible this is what got all 3 fish even with out similar markings other then the fin deterioration? Does the parasite reproduce so fast that even the possibility of medicating the fish is out of the question? Being in the hobby for 9 years I have dealt with marine velvet, ich, Brooklynella.. this however I have never seen before and is baffeling me at the speed in which this all happened. The rest of my live stock is 100 percent. 2 clowns, a fox face, a coral beauty, a yellow tang and and a powder blue in which I’ve had these guys for atleast 2 years. This is a live rock only tank. Should I be concerned for the rest of my livestock? Help! Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Any pics of the fish

Welcome to reef2reef. I'm sorry it's under these circumstances. When you get the pics up @HotRocks and @4FordFamily will be of great help. Both have had extensive encounters with it.

Thanks a lot guys, okay unfortunately I only currently have a photo of the Naso that isn’t the greatest and also before lights up. I also attached a photo of another butterfly fish I found on the web that had the identical markings as the pebble before he died which drew me to this conclusion. You’ll notice that the Naso doesn’t have these same lesions nor did the spot banded just the fin deterioration. Heavy breathing and death within 24 hours. It’s almost as it’s two separate issues that lead to the same quick conclusion.
