Since it is so rainy and gloomy out, and I can't work on my stand, I decided to start on my hardscapes. I'm using a combo of pukani, marco rocks shelfscapes and mystery rock that came with another tank I purchased a couple of years ago.

I've searched around and read the majority of all the threads about gluing rocks together and haven't noticed any one else ask this particular question.
I have some standard hobby type proxies and I'm curious if they are safe to use to glue up my rocks with. I'm still a few weeks away from adding water to the system, so it wiill have ample time to cure. Just wanted to get others thoughts on it before I use it.

I don't know, great question. Having just done something similar last week I used a combination of Oceans Wonders Coralline Purple Reef Safe Epoxy Putty and BSi IC-Gel with an accelerator. The epoxy was for the larger pieces of course and the gel was to touch up and some smaller pieces. BRS sent me some very large, and I mean large, pieces of Pukani, which was fine for me, and so the epoxy was needed to set properly. If I was going to go with crazier angels or stacking I would have used mortar.

Yeah that's kind of my issue, the pukani from BRS had some large pieces, and so does my mystery rock. I'm breaking /cutting it down in order to get shapes and sizes I like. I have the aquaforest poly glue, guess I'll play with it and see how it does

Good luck. One comment if you go the route of the pre-mixed reef epoxy - the Oceans Wonders stuff worked very well. However, has one could imagine the moon base nine dry pukani is barren and white so the purple stands out if you are not careful of placement. I had a few spots that really stood out so I covered with the ic-gel, tossed some sand on it, and tried to cover it up. Looks better but I can still see it in a few spots. Once the rocks age it won't be a big deal but figured I'd share.

I pretty much left my rock has they came and only busted one up. The rock is pretty good at stacking for the most part unless you want some ledges or angels.
