Using GFO for the First Time?

I've got a Phosban Reactor 150. Tank is a 3yr old 40B/20L sump.
I'm very nervous about using chemical filtration other than carbon.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated [emoji2]

What are your current phosphate readings? Do you have corals? You don't want to remove too much phosphate all at once or it will upset the corals. Other than that, it's perfectly safe to use.

I use BRS GFO in a reactor and got my Po4 down from .36 to
.03 just don't put a lot in the reactor and tumble it slow and it will remove it slowly.

Thank you both. According to Salifert my PO4 is .02. But I've got some algae type growth so it's most likely higher.
