Added a Powder Brown Tang to my aquarium 4 months ago. At first he was very shy and chased by a Sohal Tang. Now the Powder Brown is the aggressor.

Put this mirror up yesterday and now he’s not bothering anyone. Wondering how long I should leave the mirror there?

Generally 2 weeks
In time, the Sohal will assume the role of aggressive- it’s their nature

I don’t get it. When the mirror gets removed and the fish no longer sees another fish like himself to be aggressive towards, does it just forget that there was another fish in the tank prior to the mirror that it just beat up? I guess fish aren’t the sharpest knives in the drawer. :)

I’ve used this trick when introducing new tangs to the tank. Took only 1-2 days till I was able to remove the mirror. I’m not sure that this will work because the two fish have already been introduced for some time
