Uv sterilizer question

I have a 40g half moon with only a hob filter with poly fill in it no skimmer or anything would this uv sterilizer be decent for my tank size plan on trying a sump soon

That will work but dont expect it to last more than 6 months imo.

If it were me id get one you can depend on.

I just got a uv and after seeing it work its magic, i will always have one now. For example the tank glass is clean 5 days later, when i had to clean it every 2 days!
