Hi!
I have an old Aquapod 24 I'm refurbishing. I bought two new silenX fans which I am going to replace the old noisy ones with. Since there are only two openings to the hood (both occupied by fans) and the rest is sealed, should I have one fan directing in, and the other out? This would make more sense to me for air-flow. The stocks both blew out.

Thanks for the info

Unless it has a way to replace the air you draw out I would only use one fan, blowing cooler dryer air IN and leave the second opening empty for the hot damp air to escape. Two fans are not very efficient in a sealed system since the second fan only moves what the first feeds it, its not contributing to the work or cooling.

When fans draw air out the gum up and fail much sooner since the air is damp.

Wouldn't it increase flow, or at least lessen the workload then, to have one blowing in and one blowing out? I already have the two fans anyway.

The Rat has it right....and it won't increase flow. I'd set it up the original way with both flowing outward (and that's odd, because my LED's the fans are blow "in")....they are there to remove the heat from the lights, which are partially sealed from the tank anyway. These are low volume fans and there are plenty of places for the "cool" air to enter.
