Vermetid Snails

I am dealing with Vermetid snails and am wondering about the super glue method of dealing with them. I'm trying to decide which way is better and if it matters how you do it. Do you try to cut it or break it off before you use super glue it or just super glue right over the tube? It seems to me that just super glue over the end will do the same thing and allot easier but i'm not sure. What does everyone think?

While on the subject of them will they migrate up to the main display from the refugium?
