please help. I want to do this right. Whats the best way to run this 1" vinyl hose into a trigger sump? -as shown in the photo, the vinyl hose is just sitting on top. It will securely fit inside .
the bulkhead. but it only goes in about 1/2 deep. Im thinking to try and find a PVC fitting that fits outside the bulkhead, and then sit the hose into that. Help? Whats the proper way to do this?

hose barb fitting and hose clamp. Then yes, I would use pvc on the inside to allow the water to run into the sump more before emptying, less noise.

Hose is not flexible enough to reach from the back of my tank into the input on my sump. The angle is too tight. Making the hose bend in a way that is unstable. This defeats the whole idea of running vinyl hose in the first place. !! GRRRR.... If Vinyl hose cant flex, I may as well just hard plumb the entire thing in PVC. The vinyl hose is too thick to bend the angle from back of the sump to behind the stand.

Seems like a good idea to me, it’s what I would do, as long as it can come undone and leak!

yeah seems like the best option I’m afraid, safer too!

yes. --the black fitting screws into the sump.

This will slip snugly into bulkhead fitting on sump and is very flexible.
