Upgrading my powerheads on my 400 gal. Looking for either 4 MP40’s or 2 MP60’s. I would like to get 4 MP40’s for increased water movement but I am concerned with the tank being 3/4” thick acrylic they won't have the magnet strength. Any have experience using MP40’s on 3/4” acrylic? Or just go with the MP60’s?

3/4” is right at the max for the MP40. It will work, just make sure to properly attach the dryside. I find the 40 to be a bit wimpy. MP60 is a significantly better pump. I use four on my 450.
