Vortech Gyre Mode Question

Question. I'm confused about the Vortech Gyre Mode. I've got an MP10. If I have Gyre Mode running for 240 minutes, and Pulse time is set to 120 minutes, what does that mean?

Will it pulse for 50% of the time that it's in the Gyre mode?

Also, what is an ideal pulse time for a mixed reef? And, what power level does everyone recommend? 40%? 50%?
