Wondering what makes or why a carpet anemone would suddenly start wondering around a tank? It has been settled for months, then today suddenly moved completely across the tank.

Cal 380, mag 1300, alk 8.2 doh, nitrate -10. Under led lights 60% blue and 35+-% white

Not happy where its at could be flow, lighting. Ca is low should be around 430-450

It could be a number of things. Like mentioned above, it could be flow or lighting. Phosphates, nitrates, alleopathy, temp, etc. Any changes in water chemistry could provoke it to move. My Nems move because nothing is ever stable. :-)

Gig and Mag when acclimated and stabilized rarely move when they find their happy spot. If your gig or mag is climbing the glass or reef, it's unlikely that he's happy. Something if off in the tank.

A friend of mine (TaylorT) has an extremely stable tank. He has lots of nuisance algae that hitchhiked in over the years, but his Gigantea are very stablized and never move. I think when gigs are acclimating they like pristine crystal clean water. However, once acclimated and stabilized, they seem to prefer a nearly neglected tank IMO.

Here's a pic of his (TaylorT's) tank. I photoshopped it a bit for him and framed it. :-)

I will try and get numbers up, will recheck again today before doing anything. All tests are red sea as well. I should say it is a haddoni, if that makes any difference.

There are a few corals in the tank, couple acans, blasto, and star polyps, but nothing huge. Flow is a mp10 on short pulse at maybe 30%, located on the side about 2/3 way up.
