Water level

Hi I have the red sea 525 G2,can anyone tell what is the level of water from the top of the tank, ATM it 3.5cm and being told that is to shallow, reason given when I start my wave maker there's a high chance of causing a tsunami, as much as I've tried I cannot get it lower, even red sea video says it should be 4cm,is .5cm going to make that amount of difference. If its any help my return pump is the jecod 6500 and running at its lowest setting.

Mine is just over an inch. Lower your powerheads and turn them down if you're creating that much wave action.

I've not put the power head in atm I just relying on the tank circulation, I'm fighting on getting the waterdown to what red sea recommend
