Hey guys, two questions.

1. I currently run biopellets and want to switch to an algae reactor. Once I set up it up, can I take the biopellets offline right away or do I need to wait? The reason I am switching is the biopellets don't appear to be doing anything. I am currently on week 9 of a fishless DT (ICH). When I test my water with a red sea kit, I get between 2-5. I had my water tested twice at an LFS anyway and my nitrates were between 50-80. They were tested two weeks apart with both salifert and API. Both were the same. I bought a new kit and even the effluent from the biopellet reactor is 40-50 ppm. Im running around 2+ cups in a Sicce reator. It has been up and running for close to a year. My total system is 250 gallons and is a reef.

2. Aside from Triton, what is a good company to test water?

as far as water tests, this is a good one link

Take the biopellets offline.

Yes, either from coral view, or at Amazon
