I’ve had this rock in my tank with a Jason fox freak hair growing on it. Since I’ve had it it’s had this weird brown/tan flower like algae on the rock where the coral isn’t growing. I’m sure it’s limiting the coral from growing more. What is this stuff and how can I get rid of it? Only have it on that one single rock.

Kinda blurry but they look like clove polyps

If that piece isnt connected to your main rockwork move it away from it as they can spread rather quickly

If I shine my phone light they all retract and close up
Pretty sure they are clove polyps, I have the exact same ones. Just keep the separated from the main rock work or take that rock out and scrub them off with a brush.

Going to take it out and scrub it down! Just don’t want my freak hair damaged! Just want him to thrive and be able to grow over the entire rock he’s on. These are preventing that
