Where do they come from? A hitchhiker? The thing in the middle?
that’s a pineapple sponge. Harmless filter feeders and a sign of a tank that is progressing well.
They usually do hitchhike so way, but they are a good one. As a tank matures and other critters fill the biome out, they will slowly disappear.Where do they come from? A hitchhiker?
The tank is new, I just set it up last November. I’d like to think my maintenance is on point, I’m doing very regular water changes and keeping my two part up. Right now my tank is fallow due to ich, so I’m not feeding the tank as heavy (twice a week the last two weeks). Hopefully that’s enough to keep the inverts and snails happy.Ya that’s a pinaappple doing that means you have a lot of cultivated in your water they are harmless even good becouse they are filter feeders but once there are so many they start growing inside your filter intakes and pumps they start clogging things up you need to clean them out of things so they don’t clogg other than that they will disappear once the cilicsted are all gone you this is a signe of a beginner tank or that you are not doing maintenance on time or enough
