What eats Vermetid snails?

I have more vermetids snails in my tank than I would like. Thanks are the small (smaller than a bb) variety. I no longer keep shrimp because I am tired of them stealing food from my corals so wrasse are an option. I also no longer have hermit crabs and would rather not add them back into my system but would if they are my best bet to control the vermrtids. Any suggestions? Tank is a mixed reef 75 gallon.

I have way too many to try and remove manually. Need something that like escargo.

I had them all over my tank last year. The only thing that helped was needle nose pliers and cutting back on my feeding. When I start seeing more of them I know I'm feeding too much.

I agree, there is really nothing that I know of that eats them. They really aren't that bad, Ive had them in my tank for years. Like Mama said, cut back on you feeding, they'll diminish.

I have first hand evidence that yellow boxfish will eat vermetids... however, having one of those imo is probably worse than the vermetids!! Mine has been moved on... lol.

Lowering food input over a long period of time will diminish their population greatly. I used to have a ton of them, but now that I saw this thread I realized how few I have left.

No one else knows of a crab or fish that will eat them? I would bet a Trigger would but that would be counter productive I am sure.

I have heard that six line wrasses will eat them.

+1 on simply feeding less. If you can't feed less, try cleaner feeding habits (i.e. rinsing frozen food, feeding pellets, spot feeding vs broadcast). @aKlevans, I know mine wiped out my spirorbis population, but wouldn't touch the vermetids

I had a few. Put webs all over the tank e very time I cleaned the sand bed. Went after them with cutting dikes and took them all the way to the rock, and then maybe a little more. No more vermetids.

It’s been four years since anyone has posted and I am wondering if anyone since has had any luck with getting rid of them as they are covering all my rock.

I've heard bumblebee snails might eat them. ymmv

My bumble bees didn't help. I pulled each rock out and stabbed/scraped them off with a dental pick. I cut back on feeding as well and I haven't noticed them like I used to.
