Can anyone identify and/or share information on the following algae? It came in on one particular piece of LR. Wondering if I should remove the rock and take it off (as best I can)

It's a 1month old tank. No fish just LR and some blue legged hermits.

Caulerpa peltata and green hair algae (GHA). It is not a desirable macroalgae to keep in the display tank. It has very strong roots that attach to everything. If you don't have corals that could be hurt by this you can keep it trimmed back for an ornamental species.

aka teacup or lily pad caulerpa +1 on the previous statement.

Thank you both! I will get rig of it now, start before it spreads too much..
