Not sure what this guy is. Probably came from my chaeto reactor. Is it harmful?

There is a return pump right there so it is a high current area. Yesterday (when I took the picture) it stayed as it is in the pictures the whole time but it was slightly swaying in the current. It didn't appear like it was going to blow off the rock or like it was trying to get a better better grip on it and the suspended part never touched it. Today it is gone.
