when i bought this used setup this was dead now its back. can you please tell me what it is?

Almost looks like it could be a Torch?? Do you mind trying to send a more clear pic if possible? I think I see a skeleton with sharp center?

Yes at nights sometimes evenings in my experience they will have long thin tentacles that sweep out to feed, mine literally stretched 5-6" no joke, so as stated above from another reefer give them space to avoid contact with other corals!! Again I'm sorry for posting the wrong pic. If you read the post I asked if there was a stony skeleton which Galaxea do and star polyps don't!! -10 on me!!
 
Definately Galexea AKA tooth coral. Sweepers will start to extend and strip the tissue off of surrounding corals. It will also take out clove polyps, zoas, palys, and strip the rock surrounding it to the coraline.... Here is a picture of mine... note the clearing that it has created around itself.
