I found this laying on my sand bed. Any ideas what it is?

As a matter of fact I did add one recently! Oh no, is that a problem? The clam looks great

They can drop their foot especially when moved to new tanks or systems. Sometimes when they're harvested from the wild incorrectly they're pretty much ripped out by the time they make it to a shop. So just a bit of stress I'd just monitor it and it'll probably grow back if healthy enough.

Thanks for the info! I've had it a month now, it's wide open and seems happy. I haven't tried to move it since I got it. Here it is today
