WHAT IS THIS!!!

I just noticed an unknown snail like bug in my tank. Terrible picture I know. It looked like it had little tenticles on its bottom. Was about the size of my thumbnail and was thick.

When I tried to grab it with tweezers it tore into 2 and half fell into the tank below. The other half was almost suctioned to the rock. I pulled it out and it looks like a snail to me.

Any ideas?
