Hey guys so I just got home and checked my tank and one of my ricordeas looks like it has some white mucus comming out of it??? It looks healthy but idk what this is? Is this I sign of melting/stress? It looks like it always does just + some white mucus.. I just tested my water and all my parameters are where I want them and everything else looks great. Please lmk what you guys think.

It’s hard to tell, but I’ve had shrooms do this when they start to melt. Certainly a sign of stress. If it was expelling something, it would usually be more of darker “poop” like consistency.

I think it may have been splitting because everything looks fine now just a small pinch where a new mouth is

I've seen shrooms do this when stressed in shipping. So I'd imagine a stress event of some sort caused it. Splitting stresses and stressing causes splitting so it really could be anything. How do they look today? Its obviously not bjd crazy but only corals ive seen with bjd where Florida rics. Wouldn't rule out bacterial if it sticks around.
