As I have posted here, I am trying to get my tank water right before jumping into SPS coral and have a water test kit or two to buy before I start buying my corals. So my problem is: I have been doing alot of reading in this forum and others trying to learn all I can. One of the things I have read is, some people are using Vodak in their tanks and saying how good this is for their corals. I know nothing about this. If I keep my water parameters in line will my future SPS corals live and thrive. I at least want my corals to have a fighting chance at living, I guess that I feel that I maybe getting in over my head and that I am afraid my corals will suffer for it. Am I worring about nothing here?

It is a method to reduce nitrates, ammonia, and phos.....It is very effective when applied properly... Now there many great tanks that are filled with SPS and other corals that do not use it. If you keep your parameters in check and keep phos, silicates, nitrates low or 0 you can have a great looking tank with SPS and not have to go the Bactria driven tank method.....
