Ok, a buddy asked me to help move an aquarium and I ended up with this in my garage. It's pretty deep/tall, acrylic 1" thick. It came out of a Million$ + dollar home and was said to have been built by a Local famous Aquarium tank building company.

The tank alone measures 5'x20.5"x3.5' and has a sump.

My questions, I will be selling it and have no idea how much to ask. My buddy said it is a fish only tank because of the depth...? Or it would need serious lighting. It was running saltwater yesterday but had fake coral and large rocks. I goofed and forgot to take pics before we started draining. Should I even bother clean it? Always cleaned any glass Aquarium I've sold but this is acrylic. Never had one before and I don't want to add to the scratches or have to try and squeeze through the top. Don't think my love handles make it through the top hole/s. The first few images have reflections of the chrome on my bike/motorcycle not scratches

How would you go about it and what would you ask for a price? Cannot confirm the builder but since I'm in Las Vegas and my buddy cleans some of "their" customer's tanks, I don't doubt it. Looking at it now and think just clean the sump some and stand/canopy. Thoughts? The Wife wants it gone asap but the funds from this would really help. Ideas?

Not a shape I would want... but I don't imagine it will be difficult to sell.

~200 gallon system, with sump, (low) stand, and (low) canopy, acrylic, apparently in decent condition...

CustomAquariums.com (just an easy resource) shows a 60x42x18" GLASS tank for $2700

I'd probably craigslist it for, what... half of that? Say $1300 asking price...

My advise is guaranteed to be worth every single penny you paid for it :)

I'd use paper towels and vinegar to clean up the tank. You'll want to get all of the remaining sand out first, I would start with a shopvac for that part of the cleaning. Try to clean out the overflow area as well since there will likely be some buildup in there. The cleaner you get it the less chance you will have of being lowballed if someone comes over to look at it, speaking from experience haha

On no....haha, I have 0 into it. I sure hope I get a lot more than that. House is up for sale so the previous owner asked us to remove it.
